Light costs $17, Business $39 and Business Elite $159 per month on annual billing, according to Wix's own pricing guide. There's also a free plan, but it can't take online payments.

Plan prices differ by country, and Wix labels the USD amounts on its plan page as reference values. Treat every figure here as a US starting point and confirm the amount, tax and renewal price in checkout before you pay. The more useful question for a store is what the whole stack costs once payment fees, apps, a domain and renewals are included.

On this page

What are the current Wix plans and prices?

Which Wix plan should an online store choose?

What does Wix cost after payment processing?

What hidden costs should Wix merchants budget for?

Can Wix be used for free?

How does Wix billing work when a store upgrades or cancels?

How should a store compare Wix with Shopify or BigCommerce?

How does product feed monitoring affect total store cost?

Wix pricing FAQ

What are the current Wix plans and prices?

Wix has a free plan and four paid plans: Light, Core, Business and Business Elite. The prices below are monthly equivalents for an annual subscription paid upfront.

Free$0 /month

Wix-hosted subdomain

Wix branding

No online payments

Light$17 /month, billed annually

2 GB storage

2 collaborators

Custom domain support

Core$29 /month, billed annually

50 GB storage

5 collaborators

Accept payments

Basic ecommerce

Business$39 /month, billed annually

100 GB storage

10 collaborators

Standard ecommerce

Business Elite$159 /month, billed annually

Unlimited storage

100 collaborators

Advanced ecommerce

US monthly prices when billed annually, from Wix's own pricing guide (updated October 20, 2026). Storage, collaborators and ecommerce tiers come from wix.com/plans.

The free plan is useful for building a draft site, but it keeps a Wix address and branding. Light is for a business website that doesn't need to accept payments. Core is the first plan that lists payment acceptance and basic ecommerce, and Business steps up to standard ecommerce. Business Elite lists advanced ecommerce and 100 collaborators. A large multisite or heavily customized business shouldn't assume a top plan covers its requirements and should ask Wix for a scoped quote.

Are these prices monthly payments?

No, they're monthly equivalents. Wix offers monthly, yearly, 2 year and 3 year billing, and a yearly plan is paid in one charge at purchase. Wix says yearly and multi-year plans are charged up to three weeks before the subscription expires, and that plans renew automatically unless you turn that off. Monthly billing costs more per month than the annual equivalent, so a short-horizon store shouldn't forecast from the headline figure.

For a finance owner, the distinction is cash flow. Record the subscription term and the next charge date in the budget, because you can't forecast from the plan card.

Which Wix plan should an online store choose?

An online store should start from whether it needs payment acceptance, then test Core against Business. Light isn't a store plan, and Business Elite is worth considering only when its advanced capabilities are required.

Build a draft or test the editorFree. Keep the Wix URL and branding during evaluation.

Publish an informational business websiteLight, if online payment acceptance is not required.

Start accepting online ordersCore, then confirm the actual checkout and transaction costs.

Run a growing ecommerce catalogBusiness, if its additional ecommerce features fit the operating model.

Need advanced site capabilitiesBusiness Elite or a scoped enterprise discussion.

Choose by running a storefront test, not by comparing storage numbers. Create a product with variants, configure a shipping zone, run a test checkout and inspect the order record. If the plan blocks something you need, write down the exact limitation before upgrading.

A store that depends on subscriptions, bookings or a specialized fulfillment app should check those workflows separately. Ask what's native, what needs an app and who maintains the app.

When is Core enough?

Core is enough when your requirements fit Wix's basic ecommerce tools and your team can work within the plan limits of 50 GB storage and five collaborators. It's a sensible place to prove fit.

The test is whether you can complete the whole order lifecycle, not just publish a product page. Confirm tax handling, shipping rates, refunds, stock updates and reporting in your own account. If a workflow depends on an app, add that app's cost and owner to the decision.

When does Business make more sense?

Business makes more sense when you need the standard ecommerce capabilities that sit above Core. Wix's plan page separates the tiers by ecommerce level, storage (100 GB) and collaborators (10).

Before upgrading, name the Business-only feature you need. More sales alone isn't enough evidence. Compare a real order, a return and a reporting task on both plans, then pick the smallest plan that completes the workflow without fragile workarounds. Wix credits the unused time on your current plan toward an upgrade, so it's cheaper to move up later than it looks, but you can't switch to a shorter billing cycle while upgrading.

What does Wix cost after payment processing?

Wix ecommerce costs include payment processing on top of the subscription. For US card payments through Wix Payments, Wix lists 2.9% of the transaction plus $0.30 for credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, excluding American Express. Wix's fee schedule shows one set of rates and doesn't vary them by plan.

Wix Payments US fee schedule

Rates differ by payment method:

Payment method

US fee per transaction

Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay (excl. Stores with many small orders pay a larger effective percentage because the fixed part is spread over a smaller basket.

US card processing estimate: 100 orders

Processing fees for a $50 order2.9% of $50 plus $0.30, eligible US card transactions, at the order volume set below$175 per month

Illustrative only. Based on the Wix Payments US standard card fee of 2.9% + $0.30. Excludes plan cost, taxes, refunds, alternative payment methods and cross-border fees.

For example, a store that processes 100 eligible domestic card orders at $50 each handles $5,000 in sales. The percentage part is $145 and the fixed part is $30, so the illustrative processing cost is $175 before any other fees. It's derived from Wix's published rate, and it isn't a prediction of what you'll be billed.

Refunds change the effective cost too. Wix's fee schedule says standard processing fees still apply to refunded payments, so the original fee isn't returned. A store with a high return rate, such as apparel or gifting, should budget for fees on sales that don't end up as revenue.

What hidden costs should Wix merchants budget for?

Budget for domain renewal, paid apps, payment processing and the renewal price after any promotion. The recurring stack matters more than the headline plan price.

Domain registration and renewal

Selected yearly or multi-year plans include a domain voucher, but it's not a permanent free domain. Wix says it covers one year, works for a new domain only and has to be redeemed within two months of buying the plan. It doesn't cover renewals or privacy protection. The domain then renews at its normal price, which depends on the extension.

Keep the domain in its own budget line, since it's billed separately. A domain and a site plan can renew on different dates, and you should document ownership and transfer settings before canceling a site plan.

Premium apps and external services

Apps can fill gaps in shipping, email and analytics, but each one can add a subscription and a dependency. Before buying, check whether the feature is already in your plan and whether the app charges a flat fee, per order or by usage. App prices are set per listing, so check each one.

A useful app audit records the owner, billing cycle, purpose, data access and cancellation process. A shipping integration that fails during a promotion can cost more than its subscription.

Renewal and promotional prices

Wix says any paid service bought during a sale renews at the standard rate. A first-year discount therefore shouldn't be multiplied into a multi-year budget without a renewal quote. Set a reminder before the payment date, not only the expiry date, and record the renewal price shown in your account.

Check the US checkout, not just the pricing card Wix says prices and currency vary by location and that USD amounts on its plan page are for reference only. Confirm the actual US amount, billing term, tax and renewal charge in checkout before you approve the purchase.

Can Wix be used for free?

Wix can be used for free to build and explore a site. A free site keeps a Wix address and Wix branding and doesn't provide the paid ecommerce features on the plan comparison. It's a design sandbox, not a production store.

You can build product and page layouts before committing, which lowers the risk of paying for a subscription before the storefront is ready. You still need to test checkout, taxes and shipping on the paid configuration.

Wix doesn't offer a free trial of its paid plans. It offers a 14 day money-back guarantee on first purchases instead, and Wix's billing page says renewals and upgrades aren't covered. The guarantee has conditions and a deadline, while the free plan has no expiry.

How does Wix billing work when a store upgrades or cancels?

Billing depends on the subscription period and on whether you're upgrading, changing plans or turning off auto-renewal. A plan change alters the credit and the next invoice, so finance should review the checkout summary first.

When you upgrade before the next renewal date, Wix credits the remaining time on your current plan and deducts it from the new price. It calculates the credit from the current plan's full price, divided by the days in the period and multiplied by the days left, and applies it after any coupon or sale discount. Compare upgrades with the invoice preview, not with a subtraction of two monthly prices.

Before you turn off auto-renewal, check in your account what happens to the site and the connected domain. For a live store, cancel only after a replacement storefront and domain routing have been tested.

The free domain voucher is tied to an initial qualifying purchase, so a billing change or an upgrade shouldn't be assumed to unlock a new one.

How should a store compare Wix with Shopify or BigCommerce?

Compare total operating cost, payment rules, catalog complexity and the cost of leaving later. The site subscription is rarely the deciding number for a store with complex inventory or several channels.

One concrete anchor: BigCommerce's Core plan is $29 per month billed annually, the same headline price as Wix Core, and BigCommerce says card processing starts at 2.89% plus $0.29 on all plans against Wix's 2.9% plus $0.30. At that level the platforms are nearly identical on fees, so the decision moves to catalog limits, B2B needs and integrations. Our Shopify pricing guide covers the third option.

Start with a representative month of sales. Add the real payment mix, paid apps, domain costs, integrations and staff time. Then test how product data moves between the store, fulfillment and marketing feeds, because a platform that needs manual price or ID fixes carries a recurring cost the plan table misses.

The migration question matters too. Export a sample catalog and check that identifiers, variants, image references and redirects can be rebuilt elsewhere. Pick the platform whose operating model's still workable after the first sales cycle, not the one whose editor feels fastest on day one.

How does product feed monitoring affect total store cost?

Feed monitoring isn't part of any Wix plan. A store can have a correct product page and still send an incomplete feed to Google Merchant Center or a marketplace, and that costs sales you won't see in the plan table.

The Ecom Director checks public XML, CSV and TSV feeds for missing attributes, price and currency problems and duplicate IDs, and it shows what changed between versions. It doesn't optimize feeds or publish product data to marketplaces.

What feed tools do not show you

Catch feed errors before Merchant Center does.

The Ecom Director checks your product feed for missing attributes, price and currency issues and duplicate IDs, then shows what changed since the last version.

See how it works

Wix pricing FAQ

The questions that matter most to a merchant are what's included in the plan, how the displayed price is billed and which extra charges sit outside the subscription.

What is the cheapest Wix plan for ecommerce?

Core is the first paid plan that lists payment acceptance and basic ecommerce.
